‘Himalaya Film Festival WEST JAPAN 2009’ was finished on 8th May. It was organized for about 2 weeks at 3 different venues. With over 2,000 audiences, it was very successful.  The report will be available soon.

- The completion of the registration of the Himalaya Archive Japan as a Specified Non Profit Organization

In December 8th, 2008, HAJ was registered as a Specified Non Profit Organization (Corporate Number: 0134-05-000793)

On this date in Japan“Seidokai” is held. “Seidokai” is a Buddhist memorial service to commemorate the enlightenment of the Buddha It seems that HAJ has a special link with the Buddha who was born in the Himalayas.
